Janeen Jennings has two great passions in life. The first is to foster care and providing care and comfort to kids in state’s custody and second, to the prevention of child abuse in the state of Utah.
Janeen started her employment in 2013 at the Family Support Center of Ogden as a Peer Parent teaching and mentoring at-risk families in Weber County. In 2016, she was promoted to Programs Supervisor and provides oversight to almost all of the programs that the Center provides.
She has a bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies and will soon receive a Social Service Worker Certification. Her areas of expertise are in non-profit management, child abuse prevention, and adult parenting education. She has a passion for teaching and helping others grow from their experiences.
Janeen has worked in management positions in various fields since 1987. She has presented and trained operational procedures to employees and managers at new resorts across the country. In 2013, she was named Manager of the Year at Worldmark. She fine-tuned her technical writing skills by her teams’ creation of the Standard Operating Procedures to transition a small resort company into the Wyndham Resorts brand.
Janeen’s passion as a foster care parent earned her the Foster Parent of the Month twice. She has adopted three children through the state of Washington. She moved to Utah in 2010 and enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, and playing with her grandkids. She is very active in her community and practices leadership and integrity in both her personal and professional life. Janeen is a two- time breast cancer survivor which furthers her passion and commitment to support women, children, and families.
