Heather Garcia, BSW-I
Harrisville
Telehealth

Heather Garcia is an MSW intern with a rich personal and academic background that informs her compassionate approach to mental health care. Originally from central California, Heather grew up in a culturally diverse community that shaped her deep respect for different races, religions, and traditions. She relocated to Utah 16 years ago to be closer to family and now calls Harrisville home.
Heather holds an AA in Sociology from Salt Lake Community College, a BS in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Utah, and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Mental health is deeply personal to Heather. Her interest in the field stems from a lifelong curiosity about how the mind works and a desire to reduce stigma and increase access to meaningful support. She is especially passionate about working with individuals of all ages who have ADHD, and is eager to expand her expertise in eating disorders—particularly those affecting males—and body dysphoria. Heather also values creating affirming spaces for members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Outside of her clinical work, Heather enjoys doing her own nails, playing Pokémon Go, reading, cooking and baking, and spending quality time with her family.
