Sarah Makar, MSW-I

Sarah Makar is an MSW Intern with a deep-rooted love for Utah and a lifelong passion for caring for others. Born and raised in the state, she finds inspiration in its natural beauty and the resilience of its communities. Sarah recently earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Utah State University and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Social Work, building a strong academic foundation for her clinical journey.
Though new to professional practice in the mental health field, Sarah brings a wealth of empathy and insight shaped by personal experiences supporting loved ones through mental health challenges. These moments have strengthened her commitment to walking alongside clients as they explore healing, wholeness, and well-being.
Sarah is especially drawn to client-centered care and believes in meeting individuals where they are. She welcomes working with people from all backgrounds and strives to create a space that is compassionate, empowering, and tailored to each person’s unique path.
Outside of her clinical work, Sarah enjoys what she affectionately calls “grandma hobbies”—crafting, cooking, and her newest passion: baking sourdough bread. She also loves spending time with friends and family, whether it’s sharing a game night or heading out on an adventure.
