Mental Health Service

Quality Youth Services, which was established in 2007, has been serving families for more than forty years. We hold contracts with the Department of Human Services. We put a lot of emphasis on our enthusiasm for assisting youth success. We work to restore balance and happiness back into the lives of our clients every day. We are a full-service agency that serves clients of all ages and from all walks of life.

We diligently focus on what works for kids the first time. At QYS, we apply a systems and team approach to the youth we work with. Individual, family, and group therapy, medication management, psychosocial rehabilitation services, and other skills groups are all included in the programming. Additionally, we provide youth in our care with mentoring and tracking services. Emergency personnel are available 24-7.

Clinical Services

Individual, family, and couple therapy are all available through QYS Clinical and Mental Health Services. In addition, we provide group therapy and support groups. Our therapists are trained in a variety of modalities to assist clients in healing and leading happy, healthy lives.

Therapy: In order to best serve your needs, our therapists have received specialized training in particular therapies. We provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families.

Groups: A good way to heal, learn new skills, and meet other people going through the same thing is through support groups and group therapy.

DBT: Clients receive crucial practical skills through dialectical behavior therapy for practicing mindfulness, regulating emotions, coping with distress, enhancing relationships, and creating a meaningful life.

DBT has been shown to be effective in treating a variety of other mental health stressors, and it is regarded as the gold standard treatment for borderline personality disorder (BPD) and chronic suicidality. These include PTSD, bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety. Eating disorders and self-harming are two examples of impulsive behaviors that can be successfully treated with DBT.

QYS Parenting Support Group: An educational support group for parents. This group aims to improve parents' abilities to deal with boundaries, social media, loneliness, communication, pornography, expectations, stress management, traumatic events, and a wide range of other topics. In this online group, talk to a therapist and other parents about how to improve your parent-child relationship.

Therapy

There are many reasons why people go to therapy. Struggles with depression, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, relationships, disordered eating, challenging life transitions, grief, or traumatic events are some examples. Therapy can help any issue, no matter how small. Our empathetic therapists have been trained in techniques supported by research and are there to provide clients with a safe environment where they can heal and find solutions so that they can live their lives to the fullest.

Individual: One-on-one sessions to talk things through

Couples: You, your significant other, and a therapist to work out relational difficulties

Family: It is normal for families to struggle. A therapist can help the whole family find solutions together

Group: Therapy in a group setting for people in a similar boat

Groups are an effective, research-supported way to connect to others and heal. QYS offers both group therapy and support groups.

Foster and Proctor Care: Foster and Proctor parents, also known as professional parents, are either single people or married couples who take care of children who are placed in their homes. Healthy meals, companionship, direction, and physical, social, and emotional care are provided by the Proctor parents. Depending on the needs of the child and his or her family, proctor care can be short-term or long-term.

TAL: The Transition to Adult Living program provides children with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed as young adults.

QYS Endorses Day One and Through the Maze

Day One is Quality Youth Services' sister organization, a non-profit founded in 2015. Through Day One, we are able to provide support for mental health services for families with high-risk children.  Day One helps people in need of services and donations regardless of race, religion, or background. Day One sets out to improve the world for everyone.

Through The Maze is a digital mentoring company focused on building resilience skills for all. Through The Maze aims to connect mentors and mentees through our social platform, which was developed as an answer to the world's expanding digital population.

State Services

Quality Youth Services collaborates closely with the Utah Department of Human Services, the Utah Department of Juvenile Justice (JJS), and Child and Family Services (DCFS). We put in a lot of effort to make the lives of children, teens, and their families better through these collaborations.
